Stillwater’s lift bridge was built in 1931 and spans the St. Croix River between Stillwater and Houlton, WI. It is one of a few remaining operating lift bridges in the U.S. today. In 2020, the conversion from a highway to a pedestrian/bike trail only bridge was completed.

Family owned since 1984 this is a great place to take the kids or stop by for a glass of Cider or Wine. You can pick apples, shop at the barn, stop for a Cider at Thor's, or a glass of wine at St Croix Vineyard. Great for families!

You can rent regular or electric bikes and take this bike trail across the river into Wisconsin and back to downtown!
